ABOUT ME

“A natural wordsmith who cuts through the human experience and something raw and tender emerges.”

I’ve been writing stories since I could hold a crayon. Right now, I am working on three plays and a musical, a screenplay, and a novel. And several times a week you can read my new short fiction on Substack and my haiku on Instagram.

My plays are set in the muck of the latest social and political issues, but they are essentially about ordinary people making radical decisions and changing the lives of the people close to them. My plays have often been called “pressure cookers” and you can always count on at least one explosion.

I was born in Jamaica, Queens, but spent every summer of my childhood and the last two years of high school in Saranac Lake, in the Adirondack mountains upstate New York. Now I reside in New Jersey, overlooking the Hudson River and midtown Manhattan beyond it. I take inspiration from the city lights and my memories of the Adirondack wilderness.
