Cece, a childless widow, finds memories and words slipping away, one by one. With limited funds and no safety net, she goes online to find a husband while she still has looks and wits. When the men she finds turn vile and abusive, she uses her chemistry skills to dispatch of them, one by one. Inspired by the true story of serial-killer Isao Kakehi (the “Black Widow” of Japan), THE WIDOW explores a woman’s desperate attempts to avoid aging alone.
