Helene Mayer, fencing phenom and half-Jew, agreed to fence for Hitler to save the Berlin Olympics from a boycott. Her silver medal wasn’t enough, however, to save her brother from the labor camp.

The pilot follows young Helene, fighting convention, inner flaws, and her mother’s expectations in a quest for trophies and stardom.
